I have extensive experience working with kids in play therapy, which can be helpful to reduce anxiety symptoms, improve emotional regulation, and foster a sense of confidence and positive self-esteem. I bring a warm presence to the therapeutic process that is rooted in kindness and understanding.
Play therapy is a structured form of psychotherapy primarily for children ages 3 to 12 that uses toys, art, and play as a natural medium of expression instead of words. I provide play therapy services for upper elementary aged children, while incorporating expressive arts when helpful. I am currently under the supervision of Tanya Hull, LPC, RPT-S and completing the requirements for my RPT certification. I have been providing play therapy services for over 8 years now.
